The octagon table topper is a wonderful first project in our collection of patterns. Make sure you start the layout on page 6. The wallhanging can double as a tablecloth, use a very light batting. I like to use a pre-washed flannel for a no-loft batting. The Euro Pillow is very simple and requires no batting or machine quilting to finish the project and is perfect for young quilters.
